Swaziland : Fashion International on an expansion spree

Fashion International Company of Swaziland, which manufactures clothing apparel, is planning for expansion by opening a few more factories in the country.
The company provides services to few big fashionable clothing outlets in South Africa like Woolworths, Mr Price, Milady’s and Jet.
Fashion International is also negotiating with Truworth, one of the South African biggest fashion retailers to supply them with clothing material.
To meet the demand of clothing companies, Fashion International imports fabric from China, Taiwan, South Africa among other countries.
The Government of Swaziland evaluates this expansion as an opportunity to create employment for more people and a process to attract foreign direct investment (FDI) into the country.
The company also exports its apparel and garment to countries like US. | | |
