UK : Woolworths appoints Non-Executive Directors

Woolworths Group plc announces the appointment of Peter Bamford to the board as a non-executive Director with effect from 4 February 2008.
Mr Bamford, 53, served on the Main Board of Vodafone Group plc (1998-2006) holding a number of senior executive roles in that business including Chief Executive Vodafone UK Limited (1999-2001), Regional Chief Executive (2002-2003) and Chief Marketing Officer (2003-2006). Previously, he has held a number of senior general and commercial management positions in the retail sector including at WH Smith Group plc, Kingfisher plc, and Tesco plc.
He is a Non-Executive Director of Rentokil Initial plc and Chairman of The Key Revolution.
