Workrite Uniform, a business-to-business, flame-resistant (FR) workwear manufacturer, and its parent company, Willianson-Dickie Manufacturing Company, have launched an industry-changing Smartphone app for FR clothing.

The ‘FR Clothing’ Smartphone app provides FR users, and the industry at large, easy and immediate access to key information about hazards, safety standards, FR brands, product lines and much more. The menu of the FR app allows users to select information by categories, including hazards such as flash fire, electric arc, molten-metal splatter, and fire service. The app also provides users an option to select information by industry, such as oil and gas drilling and refining, welding, combustible dust, fire service, and others, Workrite said in a press release.

From the ‘FR Essentials’ section, users can look up terms in an FR dictionary, watch educational videos, learn more about FR fabric usage and care, read posts on the ‘Tech Notes’ blog, and gain more information on temperature ratings. In this section, there is also content on ‘Why FR’ is important, and a tab completely dedicated to frequently asked questions (FAQs), as well.

The app offers 360-degree images of product lines, as well as product descriptions, arc ratings and standard compliance. Featured leading FR apparel brands include Workrite FR, Dickies FR, Walls FR, and Workrite Fire Service.

Lew White, vice president of marketing and merchandizing at Workrite Uniform said, “Our company has long been at the forefront of FR technology. Now, we’re making this world of information readily available and easily accessible. It was our goal to create an information hub for FR customers across North America, and the FR Clothing app is exactly that. It’s comprehensive with critical information so FR customers can make informed decisions about their protective wear.”

Founded in 1973, Workrite Uniform Company, Inc. has delivered high-quality FR workwear for more than 40 years. They are also the leading supplier of FR station wear for fire service. (GK)
