Delta Galil's Q4 operating profit jumps 80%

In the three months to December 31, 2016, operating profit at apparel manufacturer and marketer Delta Galil jumped 80 per cent to $32.3 million as against $17.9 million in the earlier year’s fourth quarter. Operating profit before one time items surged 36 per cent to $32.3 million in the reporting quarter compared to $23.7 million in the fourth quarter of 2015.
Sales soared 31 per cent to $376.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2016 vis-à-vis $287.1 million in the fourth quarter of previous year.
EBITDA in the period under review too rose 33 per cent to $39.2 million versus $29.5 million in the earlier year’s same quarter, while fourth quarter of 2016 diluted earnings per share increased 52 per cent and amounted to $0.73, as against $0.48 in the fourth quarter of 2015. (AR)
