Cotton USA promotes cotton at TITAS Taiwan tradeshow

Cotton USA, which promotes US cotton fibre and manufactured cotton products around the globe, promoted cotton textiles at the recently held Taipei Innovative Textile Application Show (TITAS) in Taiwan, for local textile industries. TITAS, one of the most important textile events in Asia, exhibited innovative textiles and had participants from 11 countries.

At TITAS, CCI recruited two new retail apparel brands to join the Cotton USA licensing program: Genquo and Weavism. These licensees will increase the number of Cotton USA-labelled products in Taiwan by an estimated 300,000 units.

Cotton USA Taiwan spokesperson Cindy Yen conducted a live webcast interview at the booth in which she emphasised the advantages of US cotton and the US cotton industry’s sustainability efforts. Cotton USA partners also spoke about how they collaborate with Cotton USA to boost their business.

CCI also showcased quality Supima products as well as performance apparel featuring Cotton Incorporated’s innovative STORM COTTON technology.

TITAS 2017 focused on three relevant topics this year: smart textiles, sustainability, and functional applications, to showcase the strength of Taiwan’s high-tech textiles.

Participants came from 11 countries, including China, the Czech Republic, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Japan, South Korea, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States, with a total of 383 exhibitors in 789 booths. (GK)
