Maintaining its steady growth rate, China's GDP in the first six months of 2011 reached 20.4459 trillion Yuan, showing a year-on-year increase of 9.6 percent, as per the data released by the National Bureau of Statistics.
However, the growth in the second quarter was 9.5 percent compared to the 9.7 percent increase during the January-March 2011 period.
Of the three sub-sectors, the secondary or manufacturing sector accounted for 10.2178 trillion of GDP, registering an increase of 11 percent compared to the corresponding period last year.
In comparison, the tertiary sector's added value was 8.6581 trillion Yuan, up 9.2 percent year-on-year, while the primary sector accounted for 1.57 trillion Yuan with a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percent.
