Clariant rolls out Road Shows

The second round of Leather Road Shows for Clariant in India concluded last month. The road show showcasing the Spring/Summer 2012 Leather Collection took place at Ambur, Vaniyambadi, Ranipet, Kolkata and Bangladesh. The show aimed at displaying and making the leather manufacturers aware of the latest trends and innovations in leather fashion articles and new development of Clariant products.
Explained Mr. R. Kumaresan, Country Head – Leather Services, India, “Clariant Fashion collection road shows are the first and unique in the industry which have now become very popular among our customers, as they get firsthand insight on the forthcoming trends and keeps them a step ahead in the industry. Our fashion predictions on leather articles and new development of products keep the customers aware of the latest trends in leather fashion and prepare them well to tackle the seasonal demand changes.”
The show also promoted new fashion predictions from Clariant for the Spring Summer 2012 leather collections on cow, buff and goat leather. Tanicor RS36 Compact syntan and New Oils & Waxes and repolish systems, were of prime interest at the show. It also provided a firsthand descriptive knowledge of the global colour trends and other new developments along with giving the opportunity to explore the leather fashion concepts and get a clear picture of the Spring/Summer.
The road show was backed up with posters, standees, many actual product samples, etc. to communicate the high value that the Leather Business in India can provide to its customers and was attended by all the major leather bags and leather goods manufacturing customers of Clariant. Some buyers and exporters of leather goods and leather bags also attended the show and appreciated the collection exhibited and opined that these shows were very useful and helpful to plan their future production. They were able to have a one-to-one discussion with our technical personnel for development of their requirements and enhancing their product knowledge. The show also helped reinforce the Clariant brand in their minds. The first of its kind road show in Bangladesh also launched innovative new products and systems.
The show was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohammed Idris Ali, Principal of Bangladesh College of Leather Engineering & Technology. Most of the major customers attended the road show and they were impressed by Clariant's initiatives. They were
unanimous in their views that these shows should be repeated at regular intervals to update the tanners about the trends in the coming season.
Prof. Dr. Mohammed Idris Ali, Principal, Bangladesh College of Leather Engineering & Technology, commented, “the various types of Crusts and Finished Leather were very attractive and their colouring with finished surface was also praiseworthy in this show arranged at BCLT by Clariant and Chemitan Ltd.”

Hanif Ali, Bangladesh College of Leather Engineering & Technology, Dhaka, had this to say “I am very much happy and pleased to visit this show of Clariant and Chemitan Ltd and found it to be excellent and the beautiful look of the various articles will help us develop our products in future.”
