Stahl to present @ ACLE with 'Bringing LIFE to Leather'

This year's display at the All China Leather Exhibition in Shanghai will continue to develop Stahl's theme of “Bringing LIFE to Leather”. This means demonstrating Leveraging on cost-effective and value-added products and solutions, Innovative and creative ideas and technology, Fashion-focused concepts and Environmentally responsible practices.

Spearheaded by a collection under the designation “Hot in China”, other parts of the display will include valuable contributions from across the world of Stahl, from Stahl Australasia, Stahl Brazil, Stahl Mexico, Stahl Europe (Holland), Stahl India and Stahl Pakistan.

New to the display will be a section showing a new processing and finishing for performance leathers. This area of leather production is growing in importance and Stahl display caters for aftermarket automotive leathers and for speciality sectors including train and aircraft seats.

The majority of Stahl's display will draw its inspiration from the Autumn and Winter 2012 and 2013 trends, colours and effects developed by the Stahl Design Studio in Milan. Ideas shown in earlier publications have been developed into exciting displays for all types of leather.

The main display will showcase the latest popular fashions. There will be white burnish, nappa, vegetals and rugged outdoor fashions. Alongside there will be examples of distinctive up and coming new trends such as soft box, patents and light leathers. New products featured will include the use of FI-17-710 and RA-77-150 for a soft cationic sealer coat, and WT-68-403 and WT-16-322 for producing polyurethane top coats for various gloss and effects.

For years now, upgrading has been of huge importance in leather production. A special section of Stahl's display will focus on its needs. At the centre of this focus will be the Mirage product range.

Today, the big story is that of going green. Stahl is not ignoring this and green issues are being taken on board during the development of all new products. A typical example is the new range of NMP-free products. Finishes incorporating these products will show how successful they are.

Stahl's operations in China are growing in their highly significant importance. The product range manufactured in Suzhou has recently been extended through the addition of a new filler FI-77-603, and resins EX-RU-75-278, RA-77-167 and RC-77-191. Also of considerable importance to the Chinese leather industry, the Guangzhou Technical Centre has recently become Stahl's first SATRA-certified centre for the provision of technical, fashion and trouble-shooting support.

Throughout the display, there is an active involvement from all departments within Stahl. Wet-End has provided 50% of all the crusts used in the display. Permuthane has provided a selection of finished goods. Shoe Finish has provided examples of specially-made shoes that showcase various shoe finish products and effects.

This will be a boutique-styled stand designed to show Stahl's outstanding focus and leadership in fashion within the leather industry worldwide, and the company's ability to provide customized solutions and customer-oriented services.
