Glen Raven Logistics expanding international services

Glen Raven Logistics is expanding its services to companies involved in import-export enterprises with the addition of Prestine Macy as director of international logistics. Macy brings extensive experience to this new position having served in international logistics and customs management for a number of companies in the Triad area.

"Our goal is to expand our support services both for Glen Raven business units as well as for outside companies so that we become a value added resource to them," Macy said. "We are assisting our customers in developing cost-efficient international logistics systems, while also assuring compliance with complex and ever-changing customs, trade and security regulations."

Macy, a licensed U.S. Customs Broker, comes to Glen Raven from Great River Trading Company where she served as logistics and customs manager. Also during her career she has served as import traffic manager for Manchester Furniture Group and customs/import director for DLH Nordisk. She earned a bachelor's degree from Guilford College and is also a graduate of the College of Advanced Traffic in New York.

Glen Raven Logistics is just one of five operations that make up Glen Raven, Inc. Employing a fleet of nearly 60 tractors and 200 trailers, we combine the traditional "asset-based" trucking approach with a high-tech 3rd party logistics and transportation brokerage operation.

Glen Raven Logistics goes the extra mile to offer quality-oriented freight services that no common carrier can duplicate. In North America, our trucking fleet and transportation partners cover the entire continental United States and run international routes to Mexico and Canada, logging millions of miles each year.
