Safexpress launches gigantic Logistics facility at Indore

Safexpress, India's largest supply chain & logistics firm, launched the largest warehousing facility of central India at Indore in a grand ceremony. This ultra-modern Logistics Park is spread across more than a million square feet and is expected to trigger an economic revolution in the region.

Speaking during the launch ceremony, Mr. Pawan Jain, CMD, Safexpress said, “We feel great pride in having launched this Logistics Park at Indore, which will help raise the standards of supply chain & logistics in this region to a very different level. As an industry leader, we feel that the onus of taking such path-breaking initiatives rests with us.”

Mr. Jain elaborated, “We have invested Rs. 85 crore in developing this facility at Indore. We expect the economy of Indore region to continue growing at a very healthy rate in the years to come, and keeping that in mind we have made a significant investment here. We plan to not only leverage from the healthy growth of this region, but also to contribute in bringing about this growth in the first place by setting up world-class supply chain & logistics infrastructure.”

Announcing the launch of Safexpress Learning Center on this occasion, Mr. Pawan Jain said, “We are launching the Safexpress Learning Center at this facility. We have chosen Indore as the location for creating this center because we see this region develop into a major hub in times to come.

This Learning Center has residential facilities and is fully equipped with training rooms, modern equipment and library. To begin with, we will be using this Center to augment the skills of our employees located all over India. Later, we may be extending the services of this Center to other organizations as well.”

Speaking on this occasion, Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, GM – Marketing, Safexpress said, “With an area of 11,50,000 square feet, this is central India's largest warehousing facility. This facility will contribute heavily in the economic growth and development of this region.

Located strategically at Agra-Bombay Road on National Highway 3, the setup will fulfill the Warehousing needs of companies located in and around Indore. Our Logistics Park will enable us to provide clients with cutting-edge trans-shipment and 3PL services.”

Mr. Kanaujia remarked, “With GST all set to happen soon, we are developing 32 Logistics Parks at key industrial centers across India with an investment of over Rs. 600 crore. In the GST era, most companies will be adopting newer business models and supply chain models, since warehousing will no longer be taxation driven.

Most firms will resort to outsourcing their supply chain & logistics needs to a 3PL service provider like Safexpress, while keeping their own warehousing infrastructure to minimal levels. Keeping these factors in mind, we are driving a 3PL revolution in India by creating these ultra-modern Logistics Parks.”

Highlighting the USP of the Logistics Park at Indore, Mr. Kanaujia said, “Our Logistics Park at Indore will be operational 24x7, 365 days in a year to provide 'time-definite' deliveries. Due to our non-stop operations, we will be providing the fastest transit time of 1.8 days for deliveries all across India from Indore. Moreover, to provide safe & smooth movement of goods within the Logistics Park we have installed high-tech equipment.”
