Chinese trade with ASEAN perks up

Bilateral trade value between China and ASEAN registered US $362.85 billion in 2011, an increase of 23.9 percent year on year, 1.4 percentage points higher than overall growth rate of China's import and export over the same period
According to China Customs data, China's trade with emerging market countries realized strong growth compared with traditional markets in West and Japan.
Among them, China's exports to ASEAN reached $170.08 billion, an increase of 23.1 percent year on year; China's imports from ASEAN fetched $192.77 billion, up 24.6 percent year on year; China's trade deficit with ASEAN expanded 37.1 percent to $22.69 billion.
