CEVA to open first logistics excellence center in Florida

CEVA Logistics, a leading global supply chain management company, announced the opening of its first Center of Logistics Excellence in Jacksonville, Florida.  The Center demonstrates ‘real world’ logistics innovation through supply chain optimization and enhanced visibility, integrated services and technology solutions to power supply chain efficiency and allows organizations to see impeccably executed supply chains in action. 

Services provided at the Center include solutions design and engineering, managed transportation services, global supply chain solutions, transportation procurement, rail fueling services and a number of supporting services such as Quality, Safety and Logistics Operations Excellence.

“Customers today want increased agility while lowering supply chain costs,” said Inna Kuznetsova, Chief Commercial Officer, CEVA. “They are looking for ways to enhance control and visibility to optimize their supply chains end-to-end. CEVA’s new Center of Logistics Excellence addresses these needs with a holistic approach and a full range of services and solutions, including access to world- class technology and supply chain management engineering, provided by subject matter experts. The opening of the Center is an opportunity for our customers to ‘see and touch’ what supply chain excellence is all about.” 

Information technology plays a crucial role in helping customers achieve their supply chain objectives.  The Center for Logistics Excellence showcases the CEVA Matrix platform, which optimizes best-in-class components from independent software vendors with proprietary CEVA components and expertise to deliver innovative customer solutions that support all aspects of the end-to-end supply chain. 

“Enhanced visibility is a key customer requirement,” said Peter Dew, Chief Information Officer for CEVA.  “CEVA Matrix integrates all trading partners in the supply chain and provides automatic sharing of operating data among processes for real-time visibility of inventory, order and shipment status.  We are excited to be able to leverage the Center with customers to illustrate the richness of the CEVA Matrix platform.”

Examples of innovative solutions showcased at the Center include:

CEVA e-fulfilment Solution – a standardized e-commerce solution designed to increase end-consumer satisfaction and provide a highly positive online shopping experience, available for companies ranging from e-commerce start-ups to experienced online global players.

CarbonView – Bespoke carbon emissions reporting system, a unique approach based on actual shipping data, not averages.

Control Towers – Accurate, punctual and reliable centralized systems managing and controlling transport and security logistics activities for greater visibility and real-time information, worldwide, 24/7.
