Peru has decided to open it's fourth Trade Representation Office in Los Angeles, California. The country already has three offices located in Washington DC, New York and Miami.
This decision was made by the Peruvian Government to take advantage of the free trade agreement signed in 2005. Peru, one of the fastest-growing economies in the Western Hemisphere, has around 13 consulates in US, helping the businesses of small and medium size companies.
US textiles imports from Peru have been increasing since the inking of FTA deal, which has reached approximately US $884 million in 2006, statistics reveal. High quality textiles and baby accessories, has created a niche market for itself in the US region.
Peru sells its cotton products at a very competitive price without compromising on the quality.
