In order to cope with the pressure of RMB appreciation and the rise of the cost, it is estimated that 87 percent of leather clothing manufacturers in China will increase their export prices.
Now, most of the Chinese leather clothing producers are adopting the strategy to aim the high-end markets in the EU, US and other countries.
Although, in recent years, Chinese leather-products industry has grown rapidly, it has become one of the major production and processing bases of leather products in world. Guangdong Province is the largest producer of leather products, accounting for around 60 percent output of whole China.
However, experts opined that high prices mean good quality, latest designs and prominent brands and if Chinese enterprises fail to recognize this, it is possible that the country's leather product sector will suffer heavily.
