He emphasized the need for new innovative technology and focus on R&D. He further added that sugar machinery manufacturers improved productivity and efficiency over a period of time.
Mr. K.B. Pranesh, MD, Five Cail-KCP Ltd. while delivering the keynote address said, “there is an urgent need for the trained manpower for the industry”.
He further said that although government had made some changes in the legislation regarding the Boilers Act, there is need to increase industry participation during implementation.
Mr Ranjit Puri, President, Indian Sugar Mills Association also spoke at the seminar presented a brief historical perspective of the sugar industry and its movement through a controlled economy to liberalized economy.
Mr Vivek Verma, MD, Spray Engineering Devices Limited presented the vote of thanks, while committing to taking steps in advancing this industry in its globalization efforts.
