India to finalise all regional FTAs in a year - Mr Kamal

Raising the issue of high levels of subsidies given by developed countries, specially the US and the European countries, Mr. Kamal Nath underlined that the current distortions in the trade dynamics due to such measures was completely unacceptable to developing countries, of whom, India has emerged as a collective voice, which, developed nations can no longer afford to ignore.

Mr. Habil Khorakiwala, President, FICCI, in his welcome address said that as the Commerce and Industry Minister of India, Mr. Kamal Nath has provided a stellar leadership not only to India's commercial and trade policies, but that of the entire developing world at the WTO.

Elaborating, Mr. Khorakiwala said that Mr. Kamal Nath has been instrumental in pushing and raising the bar of trade and investments for the Indian industry by providing new perspective on how to proactively engage in the current world economic order.
