India-Oman trade to escalate with new forum

The business relations between India and Gulf nations will become stronger and better with the new Indian Business Forum, which was launched during the four-day long India Show 2008, held at Oman International Exhibition Centre.
The expo gave Indian entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their products and make business deals with domestic companies.
The forum will provide a platform to elites of both India and Oman, to exchange ideas and views regarding trade and investment scopes between the two countries. This step, in turn, will help to improve trade relations.
Although, trade volume between India and Oman reached nearly US $1.3 billion in 2007, with this new initiative it is expected to reach greater heights.
