An increasing effort is being made to promote bilateral trade between Italy and Pakistan.
It was in this regard that Dr Vincenzo Prati, the Italian Ambassador, had emphasized on the need to further encourage trade and investment between the two countries.
During his recent visit to Multan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI), Mr Prati stated that each year, Italy imports cotton, fabrics, readymade garments, leather gloves, footwear and other goods worth US $58.833 from Pakistan, while it supplies high speed diesel, kerosene oil, transport vehicles, power generating machinery and such other products in return.
Mr Vincenzo also went forward to define Italian Pak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IPCCI) as a non-profit organization aiming to promote and enhance trade and economic relations between Pakistan and Italy.
Besides, the IPCCI is also very popular for its active participations in the organization of international trade fairs and product exhibitions.
