Foreign trade business in China has always had an element of risk. However, entrepreneurs in Shishi City have proved this untrue by emerging successful in almost all their endeavors.
While some believe that reason behind this success was largely a result of good export outcomes, others are of the opinion that local foreign trade entrepreneurs played a significant role in such heightened achievements.
Experts believe that in the future, small and middle enterprises will find difficulty in the export market and will therefore have to depend heavily on giant foreign trade enterprises for enlarging their exports.
According to the statistics provided by Amoy Customs, in the month of January, the self-support export value of Shishi City amounted to US $87.45 million, up by 106 percent compared to the same period last year.
The average contribution in export value made by local big enterprises valued at $52 million, accounting for nearly 60 percent of the total. This provides enough evidence to support the fact that large business firms are the driving factor in the country's expanding exports.
