IDL will set up a fully fledged laboratory in Istanbul at the headquarters of the Istanbul Chamber of Jewelry (IKO). The news was announced during the Istanbul Jewelry Show. The IDL lab will be the first of its kind in Turkey.

The IDL laboratory will be located in the headquarters of IKO in the heart of the Istanbul diamond and jewelry center. A team of international experts will run the local operations. The first certificate in Istanbul will be issued in June this year.

'We are very happy to welcome IDL as the first international diamond grading laboratory to Istanbul. High quality certificates, offered locally to the business community are essential for the further development of the Turkish diamond and jewelry business. IDL has the right products and services to respond to that need.' said Allaattin Kameroclu, President of IKO.

The laboratory will offer diamond and jewelry certification services.

Turkey has become a leading jewelry manufacturing center and a rapidly growing diamond jewelry consumer market. A presence in Istanbul is a logical next step for IDL. We are delighted to have the support of a trade organization like IKO.' commented Peter Meeus, CEO of IDL.

About the partners:
The Istanbul Chamber of Jewelry (IKO) represents 6.000 wholesalers and retailers from the Istanbul region.

IDL provides the diamond and jewelry trade with high quality certification services. It currently operates offices in Antwerp, Dubai and Mumbai.
