The Ministry of Industry and Trade has recently released a statistical report showing exporting figures of footwear products of Vietnam, for the month of January and February.
The turnover in February reached US $240.1 million and combined figures for the month of January and February came up to $708.9 million, demonstrating a rise of 14.7 percent over corresponding period of 2007.
The US emerged as the largest consumer for made-in-Vietnam footwear, with shipments of worth $145.9 million. Other important clients include UK, consuming $85.68 million, Germany at $74.48 million and Belgium totaled US$ 50.19 million.
