CII to organize 'Making Delhi a Global Retail Destination'

As you may be aware, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organizing the second edition of Retail Symposium 2008 “Making Delhi a Global Retail Destination” on 25th April 2008 at 1000 hrs at Hotel InterContinental, Crystal Ballroom, Barakhamba Road, New Delhi.

Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Industry and Mr. Shivinder Mohan Singh, Managing Director, Fortis Healthcare Ltd, will address the Inaugural session at 1000 hrs.

Other speakers are: Mr. Sanjay Verma, Executive Managing Director (South Asia), Cushman & Wakefield; Mr. Nilesh Ved, CEO, Apparel Group; Mr. Shravan Gupta, Executive Vice Chairman & MD, Emaar MGF Land Ltd.; Mr. Partha Data Gupta, CEO, Barista Coffee Company; Mr. Suman Bery, Director General, National Council of Applied Economic Research; Mr. Samir Kuckreja, MD & CEO, Nirulas; Mr. Santosh Desai, MD & CEO, Future Brands, Ltd.; Mr Tanaji Chakraborty, President-Knowledge Centre, Jones Lang LaSalle Meghraj; Mr. William Bissell, MD, Fab India Overseas Pvt. Ltd.; Mr. Harminder P Sahni, MD, Technopak Advisors and Mr. Suresh Singaravelu, President-Retail Infrastructure, Reliance Retail Ltd.

The Symposium will discuss the Consumption Pattern in Delhi: The Road Ahead; Taxation & Licensing in Retail; Understanding Delhi Right and Retail in Delhi-Imperatives for Transformation.
