Alibaba in strategic tie up with Infomedia - India

Divulging about the business strategies, Mr Chang, asserted, “With its huge growth potential, India is a very important and strategic market for Alibaba.com and is a top priority for our global expansion plans. We have a very significant and growing base of users in India of over 400,000 members, with 20,000 new members joining us every month. At the end of last year, we launched our India Channel which has been well received by our members. It caters specifically to Indian suppliers and provides an easy and efficient platform for international and domestic buyers to source from India. This is the first country-specific channel that Alibaba.com has launched.
