Deal with Vietnam - a break-through in educational field

Vietnam and Angola have been enjoying healthy trade relations for quite some time now. In order to further boost the economies of the respective nations Nguyen Thien Nhan, Deputy Prime Minister, Vietnam and Joao Baptista Ngandajina, Minister of Science and Technology, Angola, inked two agreements during bilateral intergovernmental committee meeting in Hanoi on April 30.

Both the deals inked here were related to educational field. The first one was on education and training and the other one in tertiary education and personnel training.

The officials also discussed various ways in which both nations can assist one another, as they have potentials that can complement for mutual benefits, resulting in higher economic growth.

Other than these two agreements, both the countries agreed to extend mutual cooperation till 2010, focusing on sectors like education, training, economy, trade, industry, agriculture and petroleum.

Vietnam agreed to support Angola in setting up textile and garment manufacturing units, and would send experts from agricultural field to establish cotton plantation on a larger scale.

Authorities from both countries will also exchange visits to discuss not only domestic but also innumerable global issues that are affecting the world economy. This was the fourth session where the documents were signed. The fifth meeting is scheduled in Luanda, Angola, in 2010.

Experts believe that, new deal will surely improve the economic and educational state of both nations as they still need to prove their mark in global arena.
