In this fiercely competitive world, where each company wants a bigger pie of market share, Future Group is all set to walk away with a huge piece of cake by opening nearly 1500 KB Fair Price stores nation wide.

The Group is planning to launch 'KB's Fair Price' shops in eight major cities within a period of one and half year's. The first outlet was opened in Delhi six months ago and at present, the retail giant is running 67 such stores in cities like Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore, where around 300 products are sold at a low price.

Sources informed Fibre2fashion that, the Fair Price stores would be a chain of discount shops, where goods will be offered at 10-15 percent lower rate compared to market price. The area required for opening these outlets is around 1000 to 1600 square feet.

The shops will have low operational cost as they will not be air-conditioned and no fancy displays of items would be done for promotion of products which would help in providing goods at lower price to the customers.

The trend of retail stores is picking up fast as major groups like Reliance and Aditya Birla have also entered in this segment. These outlets are attracting good amount of customers because of a combination of low prices and good quality.
