Safexpress receives CMAI 'Apex Award'

Safexpress Private Limited, the Leaders in the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry were awarded the prestigious 'Golden Scale Trophy' at CMAI's 'Apex Awards 2008' night on July 9th at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai.

The awards were presented in 27 categories related to Apparel Business, during the glitzy function. Safexpress became the proud recipient of 'The Logistics Company of the Year 2008' award. This is the third consecutive time that the company has won this esteemed award.

While addressing the media, an exuberant Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, GM - Marketing, Safexpress, stated that “We are extremely honored to have attained this milestone. This is the third time that we have been conferred with the prestigious Apex Award for 'The Logistics Company of the Year'. This in itself is a huge adulation for us. This award validates all our efforts and hard work.

We are deeply moved by this award. The apparel industry has always played a huge part in our business success and will continue to do so. This award will motivate us to work further for the industry.”

According to Mr. Kanaujia winning this award three times in a row has strongly reinforced the fact that Safexpress are the true Leaders and have an unmatched standing in the Supply Chain and Logistics Industry in India.

A very stringent and robust application filing procedure was followed prior to the nomination. Several top Logistics companies were in contention for these awards. The nominations were analyzed and a through check was done by a panel of eminent jurists comprising of some very well known names from the industry like, Mr. Govind Srikhande, Mr. Kelly Dorji, Ms. Meher Castellino, Mr. Tim Eynon, Mr. Ashok Malik, Mr. Atul Gosh, Mr. Kailash Bhatia, and many more.

Finally the award was adjudicated and Safexpress was unanimously chosen as 'The Logistics Company of the Year' for the third consecutive year. The award was presented to Mr. Vineet Kanaujia by the renowned Fashion writer, Ms. Meher Castellino.

CMAI is India's oldest premium Association of garment manufacturers, exporters and retailers with a national presence. Established over 40 years ago, CMAI has been acting as a catalyst of change and collaborating with Government on policy matters that impact the future of the Apparel Industry.

CMAI instituted the 'National Awards for Excellence in Apparel' in the year 2003 to honor those who have made a lasting impression on the apparel industry through their dedicated services.
