Total export value of Ho Chi Minh City reached US $6,568.3 million in the first half of current year. However the data is showing fall of 2.6 percent when compared to same period 2007.
Of the total export figures, state sector has managed to earn $5,209 million giving a downfall by 5.7 percent. Similarly local sector was valued and noted an increase of 4.9 percent, which amounted to $487.2 percent. In all, highest growth was registered by FDI sector with $1,359.2 million at the rate of 6.9 percent.
Excluding crude oil price, total export turnover comes to $2,816.5 billion, representing a rise of 8.5 percent for the same period last year.
In the Meantime, total import value was estimated to touch $3.577 billion for first six months, giving about 10.7 percent surge compared to similar period last year.
Over all imports plunge by 8.5 percent at $3.5 million.
