The ASSOCHAM compliments the government for approving of the recommendation of 6th Pay Commission, describing it a healthy sign of growing economy.
In a statement, the ASSOCHAM President, Mr. Sajjan Jindal said that the gains of economic growth should be shared by the government with its employees to encourage them to be more productive and result oriented.
Since, tax collections are on rise and the government receipt side is showing improvement, the outgo would be considerable and make some impact on the forthcoming budget but it should not be seen with criticism, said Mr. Jindal.
However, the attempt of the government should be to take optimum work from its employees so that its revenues grow.
The ASSOCHAM hopes that with the implementation of the 6th Pay Commission report, the lethargy in government set up would go away and accountability would increase and the administration becomes more and more responsive towards public aspirations in general.
