Export of shipments via Airways is quite common in Vietnam. This is quite evident from the available statistics, which shows that almost 75 percent of products of Vietnam were exported by air.
Of the total exports, textile and garment sector's share in this is around 39 percent, that is making up more than a half of air-exported products.
Next in the list comes footwear items with 25 percent, and third one is handicraft with 10 percent.
One of the major reasons, for Vietnamese exporters choosing airways for shipments of their products is ineffective logistics infrastructure. Presently, Vietnam is having 114 ports with 14 ports on a large scale.
However, experts show their concerns, as most of the exporting markets for the country are far reaching like US and EU, poor infrastructure and inefficient support service are responsible for rising costs of the end products.
