Inflation is part & parcel of a growing economy, Mr Kanaujia

The Leader of Indian Supply Chain and Logistics Industry, Safexpress Pvt Ltd educated all on the 'Strategies to control costs in spite of inflation' at the Conference on 'Controlling Logistics Inflation'. The Conference was organized by Global Communication for Management (GCM) Worldwide, on the 26th August at Hotel Jaypee Sidharth, Delhi.

Being the 'Knowledge Leader' of this Industry, Safexpress was chosen to speak on behalf of the Logistics Industry about the strategies to control costs in spite of inflation. Mr. Vineet Kanaujia, GM – Marketing, Safexpress, represented India's Logistics Company in this conference. Mr. Kanaujia enlightened all with his views on inflation, its impact on logistics and the strategies that companies can adopt to combat the ever rising inflation.

While addressing the gathering, Mr. Kanaujia said that “inflation is part and parcel of a growing economy and the industries will have to learn to deal with it. The Logistics sector especially can counter the growing inflation by adopting various cost saving measures and streamlining operations.

Route-management, focusing on near-term projects and order aggregation are some of the methods that Logistics companies can adopt to lower the Logistics costs. I am certain that these measures would not only lower costs in time of inflation but also prove advantageous in the long run.”

The conference was attended by known industry veterans like Mr. B.C. Roy – DGM Logistics, Bharat Petroleum; Mr. Shankar Krishnan – Partner Accenture; Mr. Vijay Mehta – Head – Customer Service and Distribution, Nestle India; Mr. Rajeev Mehta – Jt. Exec. President National Logistics Cement Business, Aditya Birla Group etc.

The conference organized by GCM Worldwide on 'Controlling Logistics Inflation' gave a good platform to various Logistics companies to put forth their views on curbing the impact of inflation. The conference highlighted topics like logistics cost inflation, strategies to control costs through network optimization and many more.
