In order to finalize border trade with India, a delegation of nearly 15 members from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (POK), will visit Srinagar on September 22. The Pakistani members will have a meeting with Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industries (KCCI) and other business organizations for easing the two way business between divided parts of the State.

The Group from POK will even discuss various issues related to the trade with the state Government officials on September 25 and 26. After this group of traders goes back, Indian delegation from Kashmir will visit Pakistani side next month for finalizing the deal.

Both the nations have prepared the list of products that can be traded with each other. Thirteen POK products that can be bought over in to the Indian side of Kashmir include precious stones, namdas (small rough wool embroidered carpets), embroidered items and furniture.

On the other hand, entrepreneurs from Indian side can send nearly 26 items to POK like carpets, wall hangings, paper mache products, shawls, crewel embroidery, Kashmiri woolen and silk garments.

The trade between the two parts of Kashmir is anticipated to commence by the end of next month by the Uri-Muzaffarabad route from Kashmir valley and Poonch-Rawalakot road from the Jammu region.
