SATRA is also a Notified Body for the EU Directives on personal protective equipment, toys, medical devices and construction products.
"Today, competition has increased the need to establish and maintain the highest quality standards and we at FDDI are committed to give the best services to the industry at much lower costs compared to the foreign counterparts to enhance the export", said, Mr Shashi Bhushan Shukla, IRS, Secretary, FDDI.
The collaboration of FDDI's ITC with SATRA will overcome the problem of inconvenience, time delay and higher expenditure of industries due to the safety footwear tested outside India.

The collaboration of FDDI's ITC with SATRA is going to bring a revolutionary change in the Indian industries as far as the Chemical and Physical testing of leather, sole, metallic trims & accessories, fabric & components etc. are concerned & will give the buyers more confidence on the quality of the products.
