Secure Store for retailers

At the National Retail Federation's Loss Prevention and Conference & EXPO this year, guests will have the opportunity to see the technologies and store security features that retailers across the country use to protect their stores, employees and customers from retail crime.

The Secure Store will be located on the EXPO floor at the conference and open during EXPO hall hours (Monday, June 15, 12:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. and Tuesday, June 16, 11:15 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.) The three-day event takes place June 15-17 at the Los Angeles Convention Center. Retailers and law enforcement officials qualify for a complimentary pass to the conference EXPO floor.

In addition to Secure Store, NRF will host another Fusion Center at the event this year, which offers retailers and their business partners an opportunity to network with law enforcement officials from different local, state and federal agencies from across the country. Over 20 different agencies will make the trip and participate in the Fusion Center. The Fusion Center will be open from 1:30 to 3:00 pm, Tuesday, June 16 and is located on the EXPO floor.

Of the educational sessions featured, guests will hear from retailers and industry experts on subjects such as cargo security, visual pattern recognition, shoplifters' view of merchandise protection standards and effective crowd management, ecommerce fraud and many more industry-related topics.

Secure Your Cargo: Who's Got the Loot?
Monday, 6/15, 9:45 a.m. -10:45 a.m.
Supply chain and loss prevention executives will benefit from this session which focuses on protecting valuable inventory at the cargo level and how to hire trust-worthy contractors and sub-contractors in the process. Attendees will also learn how to manage and track merchandise from the varying levels of service.

Advances in Visual Pattern Recognition and their impact on Loss Prevention
Monday, 6/15, 3:45 p.m. - 4:15 p.m., Room EXPO Hall
During this B!G Idea session, located on the EXPO hall floor, attendees will hear about the advances in visual pattern recognition applications and from experts who develop them.

Shoplifters' View of Merchandise Protection Standards: Their Dirty Little Secrets
Tuesday, 6/16, 9:45 a.m. -11:15 a.m.
Retail executives attending this session will gain insight into shoplifter's perceptions of store security standards and how they evaluate retail deterrent efforts including store layout, display fixtures, merchandise packaging, employee movement and protective technologies. Attendees will also understand why shoplifters select certain stores and/or chains and if certain times or seasons are important.
