Georgia Department of Labor to assist Wal-Mart with recruitment

The Georgia Department of Labor's Blairsville Career Center will help Wal-Mart fill about 300 job openings for full-time and part-time workers at a new supercenter that will be opening in Union County in August. The new supercenter will be located at 2257 Highway 515 in Blairsville.
The recruitments will be held Monday through Saturday, June 1-6, on the Blairsville campus of North Georgia Technical College, located at 434 Meeks Ave., Highway 515 in Blairsville.
Monday's, Wednesday's and Friday's recruitments will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., while Tuesday's and Thursday's will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday's from 8 a.m. to 12 noon.
Applications will be taken via the Internet on the Wal-Mart website. The Georgia Department of Labor has set up computers at the college to accommodate the application process.
The company will be hiring for all positions, including sales associates.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old. A high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate is preferred, but not necessary. Work experience not necessary.
Company benefits are offered to both full-time and part-time employees.
