In starting blocks: endorsing new generation at ispo

There is no future without a qualified new generation! ispo and its partners have been involved in endorsing the new generation for years with a number of projects. And will continue to do so in the anniversary year 2010.

ispo Career Day created by sport INVEST search offers students, freelancers, and young professionals a platform to explore the potential of a professional career in the sports industry. Companies from various sports industry sectors will introduce themselves and are geared to assign at least 50 internships, trainee positions, and final projects. These ambitious plans came to fruition at the premiere of this event at ispo 09: 600 young persons came to ispo Career Day and many found their future employers among the 25 well-known exhibitors. Great conditions for the next ispo Career Day 2010, to be held on February 7th in hall B0.

Messe München GmbH offers ispo trainee project for trainees from the sporting goods industry. Retail and industry trainees are invited to ispo on February 10th, to get a first-hand impression of trade show reality, and gain industry contacts. Lectures provide the trainees with theoretical background information, and interactive workshops allow them to implement what they have learned. In addition to training, the all-inclusive package also includes meals and transportation from a number of German, Austrian, and Swiss cities. After participation in ispo Career Day trainees will receive a certificate by Sportsella as proof of completion of this program.

The online portal Sportsella offers sporting goods sales staff a unique opportunity for additional training and qualification with the help of online training sessions developed by experts. Once the training is completed, the participant will receive a certification as proof of his or her advanced consulting expertise. The salesperson with additional training is not the only one benefiting from this system: if a retailer's sales staff has undergone this qualification, the retailer may receive the ispo certificate. Sportsella developed this certification for retailers in cooperation with ispo. Depending on the level of personnel qualification the seal is either bronze, silver, or gold. This provides customers with a way to identify stores with competent sales personnel in the jungle of sporting goods retailers.

Yet ispo not only focuses on future employees. Young entrepreneurs are also a target of active endorsement. In addition to the BrandNew Awards, honoring the most innovative new products and brands of the year, ispo has created a number of newcomer projects throughout the last few years. “SkiLift” in hall A3 is designated to ambitious companies from the ski segment; outdoor newcomers are found at the “Greenhouse”platform in the same hall. Young brands new to the performance_ispo in hall B4 can be found at the “Warm Up” area.
