EU is China's biggest trading partner

In two-way trade with major trading partners in 2009, the European Union was China's largest trading partner in 2009.

China-EU bilateral trade value stood at US $364.09 billion, down 14.5 percent year on year, according to customs statistics.

Over the same period, the United States was China's second largest trading partner, Sino-US bilateral trade value fetched US $298.26 billion in 2009, down 10.6 percent year on year.

Japan was China's third largest trading partner in 2009. Sino-Japanese bilateral trade value indicated US $228.85 billion in 2009, down 14.2 percent year on year.
