DyStar is pleased to announce that after long negotiations Kiri Dyes & Chemcials Ltd (KDCL) became its new owner. DyStar and KDCL will operate as independent companies and DyStar will continue to offer its comprehensive range of dyes, process and effect chemicals as well as services to the textile industry.

DyStar will also maintain its activities for the leather industry through its formerly acquired Boehme brands. Above all, DyStar will still admit to research, application excellence, quality and ecology that are available to all its business partners worldwide. Although the Geretsried site is not part of the assets purchased, DyStar will continue to manufacture and sell such well known former Boehme chemicals such as Cutapol and Eskatan. Manufacture of these products will take place in DyStar's other manufacturing assets worldwide.

Production and sale of dyes under the Solvaderm brand name will also go on. The company expects to see significant opportunities by combining its own forward integration to the leather industry with KDCL's backwards integration into raw materials and intermediates.
