Stahl announces price increases
01
May '10
Stahl will increase prices for several of its Leather Finish and Performance Coatings products, effective June 1st, 2010, or as contracts allow.

The increase is necessitated based on the escalation of raw material feedstock used to manufacture our products. Key suppliers significantly reduced capacity during the recent economic crisis. The current global demand associated with the ongoing economic recovery has led to short supply of raw materials, thereby creating the sharp increase in raw material costs. Furthermore, costs for packaging, transport and energy have also increased.

Stahl's primary responsibility is to maintain a steady supply stream to our customers and trading partners, but the current raw material crisis has made an increase in our prices unavoidable. Stahl is the leading supplier of leather finishes and has strong positions in performance coatings with its business units Permuthane and Picassian.

Stahl's products are well recognised throughout the industry, and have earned an excellent reputation for innovation, performance and quality. Stahl is committed to invest in products, services and business development to meet the needs of customers and ensure a strong local presence in all regions and markets.
