BVCPS & CIQ to provide footwear testing services in Wenzhou

Bureau Veritas Consumer Products Services (BVCPS) is pleased to announce its Shanghai office has collaborated with China Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ) Wenzhou to jointly provide footwear testing and advisory services in Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China.
The signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between CIQ Wenzhou and BVCPS took place on August 3, 2010 and was witnessed by Mr. Meng Jianxin, the Vice Mayor of Wenzhou city, Mr. Liu Zhiyan, the Deputy Director General of CIQ Zhejiang, and Mr. Jiang Wenhu, the Director General of CIQ Wenzhou, as well as senior executives from BVCPS.
The cooperation of CIQ and BVCPS aims to facilitate a local testing service for thousands of companies in Wenzhou city engaged in exporting footwear products. With this local and convenient agreement, product quality should be enhanced whilst turnaround time and testing cost should be reduced.
Mr. Jiang Wenhu, the Director General of CIQ Wenzhou, said, “The footwear industry in Wenzhou has been developing rapidly over the last few years. The cooperation between CIQ Wenzhou and BVCPS symbolizes a synergistic engagement of an international brand of quality assurance and localized expertise. I am confident that this strategic cooperation can help further promote the growth of the footwear industry for exports that would benefit the economy in Wenzhou and the Zhejiang Province as a whole.”
