WRAP opens its liaison office in Dhaka

Worldwide Responsible Accredited Production(WRAP) announced the opening of its liaison office in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Mr.Saifullah Khawaja will be joining the organization as Country Manager. Saifullah is well known in the social compliance arena in Bangladesh and has prior work experience with brands, audit firms, donor agencies, buying houses and manufacturing units.

“We are very excited to be opening an office in Dhaka. Bangladesh continues to increase in importance as a sourcing destination and we are committed to helping the manufacturing sector improve its social compliance practices,” said Steve Jesseph, President and CEO of WRAP. “Saifullah's rich background in this sector in Bangladesh will be an excellent asset for us as we continue to grow WRAP in the region.”

Avedis Seferian, Director of Compliance Administration of WRAP, added, “We are very happy to have Saifullah on board. The depth and breath of his experience, both in auditing and training, along with his commitment to social compliance, make him a great addition to our ranks.”

Saifullah is a native of Dhaka and has degrees from the University of Dhaka and the University of London. He is a certified lead auditor for both social and environmental compliance management systems.
