E-commerce logistics sector in China showed moderate growth in April 2021, with the index tracking such activities increasing to 111 points, compared to 109.4 points in the previous month, according to a survey jointly conducted by China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the country's e-commerce giant JD.com. Positive trend is expected in May too.However, the total demand for e-commerce logistics fell during the month, with the sub-index tracking the total business volume sliding 0.3 points from the previous month to 127.8 points in April.
In rural areas, demand for e-commerce continued its growth momentum, with the sub-index tracking e-commerce logistics in these regions standing at 129.1 points, up 3.6 points from March.
