 Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) will commence the classes for the new batches (1st Semester) of PG Programme from 25th August 2009 & for UG Programme from 01st September 2009 at FDDI, Noida as well as at FDDI, Fursatganj campus.
FDDI which is rated among the premier fashion institutions in the world for conducting wide range of long term and short term programmes in the area of Retail Management, Fashion, Footwear Design, Technology, Management, Fashion Merchandising, Marketing, Creative Designing & CAD/CAM, Leather Goods & Accessories Design etc. is completely ready for the commencement of the new academic session 2009-10.
FDDI, Noida as well as FDDI, Fursatganj campus is having sprawling modern structure with excellent facilities, highly qualified and trained staff, visiting faculty including top professionals from industry and every other resource required for making the institute number one in the world.
When contacted Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, said, “FDDI is taking no chances after the Supreme Court declared ragging a criminal offence in May 2007. However, freshers to FDDI can now breathe easy as every staff and every student will be involved in eradicating ragging.”
With the Supreme Court taking a stern view towards ragging, FDDI is taking no chances, initiating a host of quick measures to combat the menace head-on.
To check ragging in campus, FDDI has come up with deliberate measures to facilitate the smooth induction of students during the opening of the new academic year. The measures are:
• Anti-ragging committees have been constituted;
• Anti-ragging squad to patrol in the institute;
• Sealed complaint boxes are placed;
• Surprise inspections to detect unauthorized entry or stay in hostels will be conducted.

Anti-Ragging Policy has already been circulated by FDDI & letters have already been sent to parents of all senior students warning them of strict action if their wards involved in ragging. Anti-Ragging committees and squads have been constituted for FDDI, Noida as well as for FDDI, Fursatganj campus.
Commencement of New Academic Session of FDDI
The new academic session of PG Programme and UG Programme (courses - Centre for Footwear Technology, Center for Leather Goods & Accessories Design and Centre for Retail Management) commences from 25th August, 2009 (PG) and 1st September, 2009 (UG).
The faculty members are also working on the modalities to give more attention to students so that they can excel in their professional lives. They would try to develop friendly and healthy relationship with the students and identify their strong and weak points. After identifying them they will work on the weak arenas to make the education more holistic. |
