Adriana Lohmann unveils Sensitive Fabrics-clad sculptures

Adriana Lohmann, a lighting designer who makes eco-friendly and sustainable chandeliers and sculptures, will show luminous sculptures, whose prints are shown by a diffused light extending the full length of their surfaces, clad with Sensitive Fabrics by Italian fabrics producer, Eurojersey, at the Milan Design Week, which will be held April 17 to 22, 2018.

Iconic creations sculpted in majestic tubular elements, columns of light entirely handmade and artfully modelled, thanks to the versatility and shape retention properties of Sensitive Fabrics, in a fusion between fashion and interior design. Adriana Lohmann’s creative flair and the high-performing characteristics of Sensitive Fabrics become form and substance, breathing life into eclectic and revolutionary luminous objects whose flexuous profiles adorn interior spaces.

The end result is breath-taking; the light digs out grooves in the compact even surface of the fabrics, while enhancing their colours and creating imaginary scenarios thanks to three-dimensional printing effects inspired by the geometric patterns in vogue in the 70’s and the motifs of oriental manual dyeing techniques.

In this way, the Guardiani by Adriana Lohmann will become design objects of feminine allure and refined versatility, which usher in a new decorative era and enable solutions of spectacular luminous effects for integration with interior design. (GK)
