French luxury and fashion goods marketer Kering has appointed Claus-Dietrich Lahrs as CEO of one of its brands, Bottega Veneta and replaces Carlo Alberto Beretta, who has been named as Kering's chief client and marketing officer. Claus-Dietrich Lahrs whose appointment becomes effective October 4, will report directly to Kering chairman François-Henri Pinault.

He was earlier CEO of Hugo Boss till February 2016, while also having served previously, in premium luxury brands like Cartier, Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior Couture.
“Claus-Dietrich Lahrs' outstanding experience and extensive knowledge of the luxury market will be crucial in the management of Bottega Veneta,” François-Henri Pinault said. “I am confident he will build on what has been accomplished so far within the house and accelerate its development.” (AR)
