Wij Trouwen 2006 announces that no one can miss the biggest and most beautiful wedding show in Belgium! Following the huge success of the last event, the WIJ TROUWEN show will now be held for the 11th time in Kortrijk Xpo, on 13, 14 and 15 January 2006.

From romantic, traditional and classic to original, avant-garde and modern. A three-day shows where visitors will find everything for the most beautiful day of their life. Over 100 exhibitors will be displaying their products and services, and there will again be a wealth of activities illustrating the latest wedding trends.

In 1966 the Kortrijk municipality started to build a new exhibition complex in Kortrijk – Zuid, beside the future exit of the planned E3 motorway (later renamed the E17).

De hallen Kortrijk was opened in April 1967, replacing the medieval Cloth Halls which were destroyed together with a large part of the town centre in the heavy bombardments in the summer of 1944.

On 2 December 1999, the exhibition centre was given a new name : Kortrijk Xpo.
