Association of Suppliers to the British Clothing Industry (ASBCI) & Director-e assemble sector specialists for UK's first dedicated corporate clothing, workwear and PPE conference.
The conference to be held on Tuesday, October 24th 2006 at Mottram Hall, Mottram St. Andrew, Cheshire from 9.00am to 5.00pm.
The independent and non-profit making forum for clothing and textiles, the ASBCI, has joined forces with the UK's leading on-line corporate clothing, workwear, PPE and textiles title, Director-e, to organise a sector specific conference for the career and workwear industry.
Entitled 'Clothing the Workplace' the conference is specifically aimed at addressing some of the most important and complex issues currently shaping the corporate clothing, workwear and PPE landscape.
The conference will platform speakers from some of the largest and most influential customer, supplier and research organisations in the UK including Bureau Veritas CPS UK, Carrington Career & Workwear, the DTI, DuPont Personal Protection, John Lewis PLC, London Fire Brigade, W.L. Gore UK and many more.
Speakers have been invited to clarify and inform on such issues as the current global sourcing scene, must know standards, design imperatives, buyer priorities and latest innovations.
The ASBCI is the only Association to bring together the clothing industry from fibre manufacture through to garment manufacture, retail and aftercare.
The East Midlands Clothing and Textiles Cluster (EMCAT) was formed in 2002 through the East Midlands Development Agency (EMDA) to act as a pivotal pointfor information and support within the clothing, textile and footwear industry in the East Midlands.
It is currently funded by the Department of Trade and Industry through emda and looks to become a vital supporter of the industry within the East Midlands.
