GLS + GDS : New presentation platform for spring 2006 leather goods fair

Germany based Messe Düsseldorf introduces a new presentation platform for leather goods: Introducing the Great Leather Show (GLS). The organisers will launch anindependent leather goods fair in spring 2006 which will then be held in parallel with GDS (footwear exhibition) - the leading fair for the inter-continental shoe business – twice a year. This move by the trade fair company shows it willingness to adapt its ranges to the ongoing dovetailing of shoe, leatherware and accessory segments at the point of sale.

Harnessing the potential
The new leather goods fair, the Great Leather Show (GLS), will make its debut in spring 2006 and run concurrently with the shoe sector's foremost international fair: GDS featuring 1,500 exhibitors from nearly 50 nations. Organisers expect well over 40,000 trade visitors from 80 countries. Düsseldorf is an ideal location not least due to its global reputation as a fashion and trade fair city - and home to not only GDS but also the world's largest fashion fair CPD. High-calibre international experts meet here twice a year to gather information on the latest trends. These visitors are attracted by the global origin of the exhibitors and the versatile line-up of ranges encompassing all product types and price levels.
