Men's clothing retailer Bachrach hires Larry Schechterman as SVP/GMM

Online men's wear retailer Bachrach Clothing Inc, an affiliate of Sun Capital Partners Inc, has named industry veteran Larry Schechterman as their new SVP/GMM.
Schechterman, 47 joins the executive team of Bachrach and will be responsible for managing and directing merchandising, sourcing, and planning for the company's retail stores, catalog, and internet businesses. "We're excited to have Larry join our team.
He brings a tremendous amount of passion, experience, and knowledge of the menswear business and we look forward to his contributions as we build on the momentum of our brand," notes Sheila Arnold, President & CEO.
Mr. Schechterman brings 25 years of merchandising experience from department and specialty retail stores, along with extensive work in the catalog and internet channels.
Most recently he served as the Vice President of Merchandising at Paul Fredrick Catalog where he developed an entirely new merchandising team and delivered a 30% growth in sales over the past three years. His career began as a buyer of men's activewear at Macy's and he has held senior-level merchandising positions with Bloomingdale's, Structure, Today's Man, and Phillips-Van Heusen.
Mr. Schechterman will work in the Bachrach corporate office located in downtown Chicago.
Bachrach, originated in 1877, is a specialty menswear experience with over 45 stores in major metropolitan markets across 17 states as well as a nationally distributed catalog and ecommerce business.
