Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project: REcreative

The South London Gallery, the Hayward Gallery, the Royal Academy of Arts, Tate Britain and the Whitechapel Gallery launch REcreative. REcreative is devised by young people as part of the Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project.
The Louis Vuitton Young Arts Project has won the inaugural Jumeirah Group Arts and Culture Award at the 15th Annual Luxury Briefing Awards. The award recognizes leading international enterprises actively supporting artists and advancing artistic practice through innovative creative collaborations in the business world. The Young Arts Project was awarded for providing young people with the opportunity to immerse themselves in the concepts and ideas of the contemporary art world.
In acknowledgment of the changing nature of luxury, this year's Luxury Briefing Awards recognised 'commitment to sustainability' and 'emerging luxury leaders', highlighting that the industry needs to be at the forefront of the issues facing the wider world.
In a category of seven top-tier luxury nominees, including Fendi, Rolex and Montblanc amongst others, it was Louis Vuitton's 'Young Arts Project' that won the Jumeirah Group Arts and Culture Award. The Young Arts Project offers British students the opportunity to immerse themselves in the concepts and ideas of the contemporary art world. Thatcher Brown, Vice President-Brand Strategy & Management for Jumeirah Group, presented the award to the director of the South London Gallery, Margot Heller. Katherine Gass, Jumeirah Curator, was a judge on the panel.
