Fashion retailer Chloe sees appointment of new designer

French fashion house Chloe could make a new replacement for chief designer Phoebe Philo, who is said to be leaving for personal reasons.
The Paris-based fashion retailer is not sure for Ms Philo's departure, as it is believed that the designer will not change her mind after months of negotiations with the company's management.
Chief designer in spring 2001, Ms Philo desires to spend more time with her family members. She joined Chloe in 1997 from British fashion company Stella McCartney.
Chloe is likely to announce Ms Philo's departure in the coming weeks and could name a replacement as early as January. It is believed that French designer Roland Mouret could be a top candidate for the job.
A spokesperson for Chloe said, "The brand is 50 years old and has seen a number of designers come and go."
“The company has been doing extremely well over the past four years, with sales rising an average 36 percent per year”.
